Exercise/SPECT Treadmill Stress Testing
- Helps determine heart function during periods of exertion.
- Will involve monitoring your heart’s activity while you walk on a treadmill.
- Helps evaluate for signs of coronary artery disease and other heart problems.
Nuclear/SPECT Treadmill Stress Testing
- Similar to basic exercise stress testing, but also involves a radioactive tracer
- Uses a special camera to create images of blood flow during exertion
- Helps identify any areas of blockage in the circulatory system
Nuclear/SPECT Pharmacologic Stress Testing
- Involves a small amount of radioactive tracer injected into the blood
- The heart absorbs this tracer, and a special camera takes pictures of the heart
- Images of the heart at rest and during exertion are compared
Cardiac Stress PET
- Positron emission tomography (PET) used to measure blood flow to the heart
- Helps diagnose coronary artery disease
- Noninvasive and painless screening method
Holter Cardiac Monitoring
- Small, wearable device that monitors and records your heart’s rhythm
- Checks for irregular heart rates that could indicate health conditions
- Can be used alone or alongside other diagnostic evaluation
Event Cardiac Monitoring
- A small device worn over the best to record your heart rate and rhythm
- Typically worn for about 1 month to collect sufficient data
- Patient will be advised on devices that can interfere with the monitor
Telemetry Cardiac Monitoring
- Real-time monitoring of your heart rhythm and function
- Provides early detection of potential heart health problems
- Involves wearing sensors on your skin that transmit readings to a display monitor
Vascular Ultrasounds, including Arterial and Venous
- Noninvasive methods for visualizing circulatory system structures
- Helps diagnose blockages or narrowing in the veins or arteries
- Highly safe screening option
Echocardiography (2D & 3D)
- Also known as a heart ultrasound
- Noninvasive method to obtain detailed 2D or 3D imaging of the heart
- Can detect heart defects or monitor efficacy of heart treatments
Stress Echocardiography
- Evaluates how the heart functions during exertion or under stress
- Combines ultrasound with physical or pharmaceutical stress to evaluate function
- Noninvasive and painless screening option
12-lead ECG
- Hallmark cardiac monitoring method
- Uses 12 electrodes to monitor for dysrhythmias, evidence of heart attack, and more
- Can evaluate pacemaker or ICD function
Remote Cardiac Monitoring
- Allows your heart doctor to monitor heart function remotely
- Involves either an implantable or wearable device
- Data is transmitted to a secure server
